Dr. Ata Jodeiri is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Tabriz University of Medical Science. He will join the CURT Lab at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital as a Senior Researcher in Artificial Intelligence. He has a background in Developing AI Systems, Investigation of Deep/Machine Learning Applications in Medicine, Data Analysis, and Image/Signal Processing.
He was a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tabriz. The subject of his research was to develop Deep Convolutional Networks to estimate the important parameters in Orthopedics from radiographs and eliminate the need for CT. Prior to that, he finished his Ph.D. at the University of Tehran in collaboration with the Nara Institute of Science and Technology and Osaka Hospital. His Ph.D. involved primary research with clinicians and patients undergoing Total Hip Arthroplasty and developing Deep Learning architectures for all project-related tasks such as 2D/3D registration, automatic segmentation, and multi-task learning. Also, He completed his Master’s degree in the Biomedical Department at the Amirkabir University of Technology, where He worked on blind sparse source separation and gained a distinction.
