Dr Abdulrahman khalifa AalAbdulsalam is currently an assistant professor of Computer Science at Sultan Qaboos University. He received his PhD from the university of Utah in 2018. His research focuses on applying Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning methods for extracting information from clinical text. Recently, he was awarded a grant from His Majesty Research Funds to investigate the use of NLP and ML methods for automating data collection directly from the electronic health records for the central cancer registry in Oman.
